Job Description

Responsibilities

Project Manager


Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project completion and handover
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and statutory requirements


Consultant & Contractor Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate with consultants (Architects, Structural, M&E and other consultants/specialists)
  • Manage and coordinate all subcontractors to ensure timely deliverables
  • Chair site meetings and ensure timely resolution of technical and site issues
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and workmanship on-site


Cost, Procurement & Contracts

  • Manage tendering, contract administration, variations, and progress claims in liaison with the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Monitor project costs and implement value engineering without compromising quality and time
  • Review and approve subcontractor claims and final accounts


Quality, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control processes
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, authorities, consultants, and sub-contractors
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication throughout the project


Requirements & Qualifications


Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field


Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of construction project management experience in Singapore
  • Experience in conservation shophouse projects or heritage buildings will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of local construction practices


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good contract administration and cost control skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in tight urban environments
