About The Opportunity

A global technology and infrastructure solutions organization is seeking a Datacentre Application Engineer to support the continued growth of its Data Centre business across Southeast Asia.

This is a highly visible regional role that sits at the intersection of application engineering, technical consulting, solution design, and customer engagement, supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical data centre projects across the region.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales, customers, consultants, contractors, and data centre operators to provide technical expertise and application support for structured cabling and connectivity solutions.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy combining deep technical knowledge with customer-facing engagement while helping shape next-generation data centre infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Application Engineering & Technical Solutions

• Provide technical expertise and application engineering support for data centre infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Asia.
• Develop and recommend structured cabling and connectivity solutions based on customer requirements.
• Translate customer specifications into technically compliant and commercially viable solutions.
• Support project design activities involving structured cabling, fiber optic systems, network infrastructure, and data centre connectivity architectures.
• Conduct technical evaluations and provide engineering recommendations for customer projects.

Data Centre & Structured Cabling Solutions

• Act as the subject matter expert for structured cabling and data centre connectivity solutions.
• Support customers in designing scalable and future-ready data centre infrastructure.
• Provide guidance on best practices relating to network architecture, fiber deployment, cabling systems, and physical infrastructure.
• Assist customers with migration, expansion, and modernization projects.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with consultants, data centre operators, contractors, EPC firms, system integrators, and end users.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and customer workshops.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings.
• Support key customer engagements during project planning and execution phases.

Sales & Commercial Support

• Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop winning technical proposals.
• Support bid submissions, tenders, RFQs, and technical documentation requirements.
• Provide technical validation and risk assessment during project qualification stages.
• Assist in identifying new opportunities within the fast-growing Southeast Asian data centre market.

Regional Project Support

• Work across multiple Southeast Asian markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
• Support project implementation and troubleshooting where required.
• Coordinate with regional stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Stay updated on industry developments involving:

• AI Infrastructure
• Cloud Computing
• Edge Data Centres
• Structured Cabling Technologies
• Fiber Connectivity Solutions
• Provide market feedback and customer insights to internal teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Telecommunications Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Network Engineering
• Related Technical Disciplines

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
• Data Centre Infrastructure
• Structured Cabling
• Connectivity Solutions
• Application Engineering
• Technical Presales
• Network Infrastructure
• Electrical Infrastructure Solutions

Highly Preferred
