This is an internship position, not a junior or full-time role. Please ensure you have an official internship placement letter from your faculty.

Duties and responsibilities


Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Assist engineers in the design and development of solar PV systems.
  • Support the preparation of engineering calculations, layouts, and technical drawings.
  • Assist in reviewing project specifications, datasheets, and technical documents.
  • Participate in system sizing and performance analysis of solar PV installations.

Project Coordination

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation activities.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and maintaining project records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and contractors when required.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

Site Support

  • Assist with site surveys, inspections, and data collection activities.
  • Support engineers during site visits and commissioning activities.
  • Verify site conditions and report findings to the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and site procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing of project documents and drawings.
  • Update project trackers and databases as required.
  • Assist in compiling as-built documentation upon project completion.

Research & Development

  • Conduct research on solar technologies, equipment, and industry trends.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
  • Assist in evaluating new products and technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp, or similar engineering software is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to travel for site visits when required.
