Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineer role based in Sungai Buloh. The Production Engineer will oversee daily production operations, ensuring that aluminum extrusion processes run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring production performance, analyzing process issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to reduce downtime and scrap. The role also involves coordinating production planning and scheduling, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality, and planning, to maintain smooth operations and meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong production engineering and manufacturing process knowledge, preferably from automotive background
• Solid analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and optimize production performance.
• Experience in production planning coordination to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Knowledge of quality control, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Lean).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with operators, technicians, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Degree in related Engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with safety standards and good practices in an industrial production environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and production reporting; experience with ERP/MES systems is an advantage.
• Hands on knowledge in ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 is an added advantage.
