Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, production, and finishing of pastries, viennoiseries, and desserts according to recipes and brand standards
Support senior pastry chefs in daily mise en place and service preparation
Execute basic pastry techniques including weighing, mixing, baking, assembling, glazing, and decorating
Maintain consistency in portioning, taste, texture, and presentation
Prepare ingredients such as creams, doughs, mousses, fillings, and garnishes under supervision
Ensure all products meet brand’s artistic and visual standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstation at all times
Follow strict hygiene and food safety standards
Proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO system)
Assist with inventory control and minimising wastage
Support service during peak hours and special events or launches
Follow instructions accurately and communicate effectively within the pastry team
Requirements
Culinary/pastry diploma or equivalent training preferred
Strong interest in French pastry and luxury desserts
Basic understanding of pastry techniques and kitchen operations
High attention to detail, cleanliness, and precision
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Team player with a strong learning attitude and discipline
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
