As the Cloud Security Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled Cloud Security Engineers and driving the development and implementation of our client's cloud security strategy. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that security is an integral part of our cloud-based services. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our data, applications, and infrastructure from potential threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Cloud Security Engineers in designing and implementing cloud security solutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud security strategy aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and IT teams to integrate security measures into the development and operational processes.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing of cloud-based systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting in-depth investigations and implementing effective remediation plans.
- Evaluate and implement cloud security tools and services to enhance our security posture.
- Establish and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends and emerging threats, and provide recommendations to enhance security measures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises to ensure business continuity.
- Provide guidance and training to other teams on cloud security best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their respective security services.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and SOC 2.
- Strong understanding of networking, encryption, and authentication protocols.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty or CCSP are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address security issues effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
