Shipping Documentation Intern


Location: Boon Lay, Singapore (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time Internship

Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: 11 August 2026 onwards

Compensation: SGD 1,000 per month

Shipping World Logistics Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based logistics company providing freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain solutions across the region.


Position Overview

We are seeking a Shipping Documentation Intern to support our Freight Operations team. This internship provides practical exposure to shipping documentation, freight forwarding processes, shipment coordination, and customer communications within the logistics industry.

Training and guidance will be provided throughout the internship.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

• Assist with shipment bookings and coordination with carriers, agents, and customers

• Support the preparation and checking of shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, invoices, and permits

• Assist in preparing pre-alerts and organising shipping documentation for overseas agents

• Support billing verification to ensure shipment information is accurate


Documentation & Tracking

• Assist in preparing and verifying Bills of Lading

• Maintain and update shipment records within internal systems

• Support communication with customers and overseas agents regarding shipment status

• Ensure shipping documents are properly filed and maintained


Coordination & Administrative Support

• Follow up on documentation and booking matters as required

• Assist with shipment tracking and status updates

• Provide administrative support to the Freight Operations team

• Support ad-hoc operational and documentation-related tasks


Requirements

• Polytechnic or University student pursuing Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field of study

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment

• Able to commit to a full-time internship for six months

• Eligible to work in Singapore
