Finwau is a brand-new fintech digital lender launching its operations in Malaysia, and we are now opening the position of Operations Director. Your mission is to build the local team from the ground up, establish smooth communication with Headquarters, and deliver the target metrics set out in the business plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the project of upgrading the conventional moneylending licence into an online one
• Build and maintain the relationship with the regulator (KPKT), liaising with them on an ongoing basis
• Hire the first members of the operations team, design the core processes, and launch operations
• Lead the customer service, verification, and debt collection teams (up to 30 members)
• Develop and monitor work instructions and key performance metrics for the team
• Manage all staffing needs: hiring, motivating, supervising, and replacing personnel
• Consolidate team reports and present them to the Country Manager
• Analyse and optimise business processes
• Collaborate with external vendors (Credit Bureau, Payment gateways, eKYC providers, Data providers, etc)

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Country Manager.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, MIS, HR Management, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing finance operations, preferably in debt collection
• Proven leadership, including managing teams of 15+ members
• Excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with regulators and vendors
• Strong command of performance management: goal setting, feedback, and reviews
• Familiarity with call centre software and CRM systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
