Requirements:
1. Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality discipline. Min 2 Years of experience in Quality Control
2. 1–3 years’ experience in fabrication, welding, or assembly inspection (genset or heavy equipment industry preferred). Able to work independently
3. Able to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances and weld symbols.
4. Familiar with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
5. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system and basic documentation control.
6. Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Responsibilities:
1. In-Process Inspection & Monitoring
- Carry out in-process inspections during fabrication, welding, machining, painting, and assembly stages
- Verify dimensions, weld quality, alignment, fit-up, and workmanship according to drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work is performed per approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and process control standards.
- Monitor operators’ adherence to quality checkpoints and approved work instructions.
- Record inspection findings and immediately report any non-conformances to the QC Engineer or Supervisor.
2. Quality Control Documentation
- Complete IPQC checklists and inspection reports accurately and on time.
- Compile and submit daily in-process inspection summaries to QC Engineer for review.
- Ensure traceability of inspected components, weld joints, and materials.
- Maintain proper records for NCRs, rework, and corrective actions raised during the process.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate closely with Production, Welding, and Assembly teams to ensure inspection does not
interrupt process flow.
- Communicate any quality deviations or process abnormalities immediately for corrective action.
- Participate in production vs. quality discussions and provide factual updates from daily inspections.
4. Process and Product Verification
- Ensure all equipment and tools used in inspection are properly calibrated and identified.
- Verify that materials and parts used in fabrication are approved and released by incoming QC.
- Confirm that in-process hold points are respected before proceeding to next stages.
- Support final inspection preparation by verifying in-process records are complete and accurate.
5. Quality Improvement & Support
- Assist QC Engineer in identifying recurring issues and contributing to Quality Improvement Cycles (QIC).
- Provide data and feedback for root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Support implementation of corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
6. Safety & 5S Compliance
- Follow and enforce safe work practices during inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and inspection areas as per 5S standards.
Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
