Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting daily logistics, inventory, warehouse, and international trade operations to ensure efficient movement of goods, timely deliveries, and compliance with import/export regulations. The role requires coordination with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

· Monitor and maintain inventory records accurately.

· Conduct stock receiving, inspection, labeling, and storage activities.

· Perform periodic stock counts and inventory audits.

· Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goods.

Logistics & Shipping Coordination

· Coordinate domestic and international shipments.

· Prepare delivery orders, packing lists, commercial invoices, and shipping documentation.

· Track shipment status and ensure timely delivery to customers.

· Liaise with courier companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transportation providers.

· Arrange transportation schedules and shipment bookings.

Import & Export Operations

· Prepare and process import and export documentation in compliance with customs regulations.

· Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities for shipment clearance.

· Ensure accurate HS Code classification and documentation for international shipments.

· Monitor import permits, certificates of origin, and other regulatory requirements.

· Verify shipping documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (BL), Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin (COO), and Customs Forms.

· Track import and export shipments to ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery.

· Assist in managing duties, taxes, and shipping costs.

· Support compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

Warehouse Operations

· Organize and maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.

· Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and finished goods.

· Assist with loading and unloading of shipments.

· Support warehouse process improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Record Keeping

· Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and shipping records.

· Update ERP systems with shipment, inventory, and customs information.

· File and manage logistics and trade documents systematically.

· Generate logistics and shipment reports for management review.

Supplier & Customer Coordination

· Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers regarding shipments and delivery schedules.

· Communicate shipment status updates to customers.

· Resolve logistics and shipping-related issues promptly.

· Support procurement and sales teams on delivery planning and shipping requirements.

Compliance & Safety

· Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.

· Follow warehouse safety procedures and best practices.

· Report operational risks, delays, and compliance issues to management.

Requirements

· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or import/export coordination.

· Knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs documentation.

· Familiarity with Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.).

· Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
