Responsibilities
Costing & RFQ (Request for Quotation) Executive is responsible for determining costs, preparing quotations, and managing the RFQ process to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. He/she plays a crucial role in both internal cost management and external customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Calculating material, labour, and overhead costs to determine the price of products or services. Preparing and issuing quotations for potential customers based on these cost analyses.
2. RFQ Management:
Managing the entire RFQ process, including preparing, sending, and evaluating quotations from suppliers. This involves identifying potential suppliers, drafting RFQs, and analysing bids to secure the best terms and conditions.
3. Supplier & Customer Relations:
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers & Customers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
4. Cost Control and Analysis:
Monitoring project budgets, identifying cost variances, and recommending corrective actions to ensure profitability.
5. Collaboration:
Working with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and engineering, to ensure accurate costing and timely delivery.
6. Variance Analysis:
Identifying and investigating cost discrepancies, recommending corrective actions and cost-saving opportunities.
7. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Supporting the annual budget process with costing data, monitoring actual costs against budget, and recommending optimization strategies.
8. Cost Standard Development:
Developing and implementing cost standards for materials and labour.
9. Ad-hoc Duties:
Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: 3+ years of related experience is typically preferred.
3. Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software, such as Microsoft AX or other ERP systems.
4. MS Office: Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.
7. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with different teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
