Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Quality Control
- Monitor and improve in-process inspection systems on production lines.
- Handle New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including start-up line quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-620 standards and manage equipment calibration.
Technical & Analytical
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with product development teams to define wire harness requirements.
- Perform statistical analysis on defect trends and prepare quality reports.
Quality System Management
- Maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation (SOPs, control plans, work instructions).
Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Monitor KPIs (customer complaints, defect rates, audit scores) and report to management.
Customer Quality & Supplier Interface
- Act as liaison between customers and internal teams for quality issues.
- Handle customer complaints, warranty claims and ensure timely resolution.
- Work with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and compliance.
- Support warranty claim investigations and corrective action implementation.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor quality engineers and inspectors.
- Ensure training and competency development for quality staff.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
Others
- Others work assigned by the superior.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering/management, preferably in automotive or electronics manufacturing.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
- Utilize structured methodologies like SPC, 8D, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, 5-Why, and Fishbone Diagrams to address production errors and customer complaints.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership in cross-functional teams.
- Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
