Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer with strong experience in Fortinet SD-WAN technologies to support enterprise WAN operations for a major multinational customer. The engineer will be stationed onsite at the customer premises and will be responsible for day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, implementation, and escalation management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite operational support for enterprise WAN and SD-WAN infrastructure.
• Manage and support Fortinet SD-WAN deployments.
• Monitor network performance and ensure service availability.
• Troubleshoot WAN, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Perform incident management and root cause analysis.
• Support planned changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with service providers and OEM support teams.
• Implement network configuration changes under change management process.
• Maintain operational documentation and reports.
• Provide technical escalation support to customer operations teams.

Requirements

• 4 - 8 years in Enterprise Network operations
• Min 3 years hands-on experience in SD-WAN support
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
• Good knowledge of FortiGate firewall administration.
• Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static Routing)
• VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• WAN optimization
• LAN/WAN troubleshooting
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
