Job title- IT PMO Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT PMO Project Manager (Project Office/PMO) to lead and coordinate technology-enabled delivery for risk and digital banking projects . The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project execution across multiple stakeholders, ensure structured delivery governance, and drive outcomes in areas including risk modeling & validation, IFRS 9/IFRS 17, Basel framework implementation, and digital banking analytics .
This role combines project management, technical delivery oversight, and governance discipline across cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery Governance
Own project planning, execution, and delivery governance from requirements gathering through go-live.
Build and maintain project plans, milestones, RAID logs (Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies), status reporting, and delivery metrics.
Ensure adherence to agreed scope, timeline, quality, and delivery standards.
Stakeholder & C-suite Alignment
Lead stakeholder alignment and communication with business leadership and executive audiences (including C-suite where required).
Translate business objectives into technical delivery priorities, ensuring clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and sign-off workflows.
IT/Technology Delivery Oversight (Risk & Banking Domain)
Provide hands-on oversight and technical guidance for delivery programs involving:
SAS-based platforms and solution implementations
IFRS 9 methodological framework implementation (impairment model calculations, impact analysis, management reporting)
IFRS 17 implementation (life insurance cash flow generation, CSM measurement, roadmap alignment)
Basel Accords-related risk modeling & validation
Credit scorecard development, credit approval workflows, and internal/external data integrations
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure implementation consistency with model governance requirements and regulatory expectations.
Cross-Border & Multi-team Coordination
Manage end-to-end delivery across multiple geographies and teams (e.g., regional SAS/consulting teams, client teams, and service partners).
Coordinate deliverables across internal project service teams, including structured handovers, go-live readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
Model/Validation Governance Support
Support model lifecycle processes (validation, approval validation, periodic exercises) and contribute to model risk management reporting needs.
Ensure documentation quality and traceability of decisions, methodologies, and delivery artifacts.
Training Enablement & Knowledge Transfer
Develop or support training programs for newly released solutions (e.g., SAS solution enablement) to uplift cross-functional adoption.
Promote standardized methodologies, documentation templates, and best practices across teams.
Operational Excellence
Support PMO routines: periodic status reviews, quarterly reporting, and structured communications.
Ensure clear ownership of dependencies and timely escalation of delivery issues.
8. External vendor management- Liaison with Dutch vendors
Required Qualifications
Education: PhD or advanced degree in quantitative/statistics/risk management or a related field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Statistics, Risk Management).
Experience: Proven experience in IT project management / PMO / delivery management , preferably within banking/insurance risk transformation or analytics delivery.
Delivery experience: Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end implementations (requirements → delivery → go-live), ideally involving multiple stakeholders and cross-border teams.
Technical background (preferred):
Strong understanding of risk analytics and model governance (IFRS 9 / IFRS 17, Basel frameworks, credit risk modeling concepts)
Familiarity with SAS-based environments and/or risk modeling toolchains
Project governance: Strong PMO skills including structured planning, reporting cadence, and RAID management.
Communication: Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
Languages: English proficiency (spoken and written). Dutch proficiency to interact with local vendors
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing risk transformation programs in banking/insurance environments.
Experience with regulatory-oriented delivery and model governance documentation (e.g., internal validation lifecycle, ECB/DNB reporting exposure).
Experience implementing or overseeing cross-border delivery programs using agile methodologies.
Training/coaching experience for internal teams on new solution releases.
