Responsibilities

Role Description

This candidate will serve as the primary face of our SAP capability in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. You will work in close partnership with the Domain Sales team to create and advance a strong pipeline of SAP opportunities, engage C-suite and senior executive stakeholders at client organizations, and attract top SAP talent to fulfill delivery commitments.

This is an ideal role for a senior SAP professional with deep functional expertise, a strong executive presence, and a proven ability to operate at the intersection of consulting, sales enablement, and team leadership within an IT Services environment, who is looking to grow their career.

Business Development & Pipeline Creation (60%)

Cultivate strong relationships with SAP Malaysia and the broader SAP partner ecosystem, including ISVs and system integrators.

Engage with industry bodies, local business chambers, and professional networks to raise the firm's profile in the Malaysian market.

Collaborate with internal competency leads, delivery managers, and regional leadership to ensure seamless practice operations.

Partner with our ASEAN Leadership and Domain Sales team to identify, qualify, and develop new SAP opportunities across Malaysia and ASEAN.

Engage proactively with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and senior business executives at target accounts to position our SAP capabilities and build executive-level trust.

Drive the development of proposals, presentations, and solution narratives for SAP-led pursuits in ASEAN with support from our global SAP teams

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to meet annual revenue and booking targets for the ASEAN SAP practice.

SAP Functional Engagement & Advisory (15%)

Engage as a trusted advisor to client leadership on SAP strategy, landscape simplification, cloud migration, and digital transformation roadmaps.

Provide functional coverage across core SAP solution areas (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, or other relevant modules) in client Executive & Directors meetings.

Oversee the quality and integrity of SAP solution designs proposed to clients in the region.

Stay abreast of SAP's latest innovations, roadmap developments, and ecosystem trends to ensure our practice remains differentiated.

Talent Acquisition & Team Building (25%)

Execute on the practice roadmap, capability portfolio, and go-to-market strategy for ASEAN in alignment with global SAP practice leadership.

Build a high-caliber team of SAP functional and technical professionals capable of delivering complex transformation programs locally

Facilitate and drive talent acquisition strategy for the ASEAN SAP practice — from defining profiles and engaging search partners to interviewing and onboarding.

Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and client-centricity within the practice team.

Mentor and develop team members, creating clear growth paths to retain top talent.

Establish the practice's identity, positioning, and operational model in the ASEAN market

Primary spokesperson for SAP Practice in the ASEAN region.

Mandatory Requirements

Malaysian national with right to work in Malaysia; cultural fluency and strong local professional network are essential.

20+ years of progressive experience in SAP functional roles, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.

Hands-on expertise in one or more SAP functional domains (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HCM, or equivalent); S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated track record of engaging CXO-level stakeholders and driving business outcomes through consultative engagement.

Prior experience in an IT Services, Systems Integration, or Management Consulting firm — with an understanding of practice economics, utilization, and delivery models.

Proven ability to originate and progress sales opportunities through consultative and solution-led selling approaches.

Hands-on experience in recruiting, building, and leading multi-disciplinary SAP teams.

Good to have

Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Rise, or SAP GROW initiatives.

Experience leading or contributing to large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration programs.

Existing relationships with Malaysian and ASEAN enterprise clients across sectors such as manufacturing, financial services, utilities, or consumer goods.

Active SAP certifications in relevant functional or technology domains.

Familiarity with regional regulatory frameworks (e.g., PDPA Malaysia) and their implications for enterprise IT.
