Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
The key role of this function is to specify and develop wafer test solutions for discrete power products (Transistors, IGBTs, Diodes, SiCMOS & GaN). Part of this function is also to understand the product test cost implications for existing and future products within the Infineon product and manufacturing test landscape.
As a Wafer Test Development Engineer, you will:
- Define test concepts and perform test simulations to ensure the robustness of the test solution
- Design test hardware for automated test equipment (ATE)
- Code and debug test programs
- Analyze statistical test data
- Implement innovative methods to reduce test costs and improve quality in the wafer test operation environment
- Support the transfer of test programs, which are initiated by the business units, to ensure a smooth and efficient transfer process
- Manage a team of at least 5 people, including engineers and technicians, to ensure effective execution of project goals and objectives, and to provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree from a university or university of applied sciences in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable educational background
- 5-10 years of experience in test engineering/development/lab environment
- Fluent English and ideally German language skills
- Proven experience in discrete power product testing and test hardware development is a must, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test solutions for our discrete power products.
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians to achieve project goals and objectives, and to make strategic decisions that impact the team and the organization.
- Successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our Kulim facility
