Technical Service Assistant Manager (Asia Pacific)
Our client, a leading multinational organisation in the speciality chemicals and fuel additives industry, is seeking a Technical Service Assistant Manager to support its growing Asia-Pacific operations.
This is an exciting regional role combining technical expertise, customer engagement, quality control oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and advisory services to customers, distributors, and internal commercial teams across Asia Pacific
- Conduct product trials, technical evaluations, and troubleshooting activities
- Deliver technical training and presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with regional and global R&D, Technical Service, and Commercial teams
- Support customer tenders through technical testing and documentation
- Manage technical records, reports, and databases
- Liaise with internal and external laboratories to support testing requirements
- Support manufacturing and toll blending facilities on quality control matters
- Generate and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COA) and QC documentation
- Assist with product approvals, registrations, and customer qualification processes
- Represent the company at technical meetings, customer visits, and industry events
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related Science/Engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the petroleum, fuels, additives, specialty chemicals, or related industries
- Experience working with laboratories, testing, and quality control processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with refining, fuel technologies, or chemical manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific when required
