Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Planning & managing IT projects and exercise prudent project management principles to implement the projects/system enhancements successfully.
  • Supervise the technical team, managing work assignments and skill resources in delivering quality output and meeting project deadlines.
  • Design, analyse, code and test programs for system development / enhancements in accordance with user specifications
  • Provide application support, performance and problem resolution activities and be responsive to the needs and meeting user demands.
  • Ensure the smooth implementation of Projects & URS enhancements on time and within budget.
  • Ensure system availability and meet SLA.
  • Ensure timely resolution of application problems.
  • Ensure compliance of IT standards / policies, QA SDLC procedures and Audit requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Constant Liaison with the appropriate party within IT with regard to project SDLC.
  • Liaison with business counterpart for any concern raised.
  • Mitigate technical constraints and recommend alternative workaround for business users considerations.
  • Work with Vendor / Development team and Support team for the delivery and testing.
  • Team motivation and monitoring of progress.
  • UH/SH regular updates on progress.
  • Monitors overall system performance, availability and chart/plan appropriate action whenever issues arise.
  • Research on system performance improvements and work with Support team for execution.
  • Promptly assign most appropriate technical resource to analyse and resolve problem.
  • Mitigate impact of problem and execute quick recovery plan.
  • Prompt escalation of problems if necessary.
  • Review requirements with QA, IT Security and Audit.
  • Mitigate risk and recommend alternative workaround solutions / controls to address non-compliance items for consideration.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in IT Application delivery and support or IT Project Management. - Core Java / Java EE (J2EE): solid understanding of OOP principles, exception handling, multithreading, design patterns. - API & Web Development: RESTful API, Microservices, XML, JSON, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript. - Mobile architecture and development: React Native, React JS - CI/CD & Build Tools: Maven, GitHub - Tools: JUnit, Postman, JMeter (or equivalent) - Operating Systems: RHEL, Windows Server, AIX, Solaris Server - Middleware: Oracle Weblogic, JBOSS/WildFly, IBM WebSphere, Apache Kafka, API Gateway - Database: Oracle – proficient in SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning - Web: Apache HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server - Java Frameworks: hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) - Monitoring: Nagios, Dynatrace, ELK stack, Grafana.
