Human Resource Manager | Malaysia

The Role: The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining compliance with local labor laws. This role leads end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR, people, and organizational matters.
- Drive HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes: sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and headcount budgeting.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and external vendors.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
Performance Management & Development
- Oversee performance management frameworks and appraisal cycles.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Support payroll accuracy and coordination with finance or external vendors.
- Participate in salary reviews, bonuses, and incentive planning.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Manage HR audits, reports, and documentation.
- Support visa, work permit, and employment contract processes where applicable.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- English proficiency is required
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and C&B.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
