Responsibilities

Role Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with 2 to 3 years of payroll experience, preferably gained within a payroll outsourcing agency / payroll service provider environment. This role will be responsible for executing end-to-end payroll operations for multiple client accounts while ensuring payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and excellent service delivery standards.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable handling high-volume payroll cycles, managing multiple stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Payroll Operations
  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing accurately and within agreed timelines for assigned client portfolio(s).
  • Process payroll inputs including new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, overtime, leave, allowances, commissions, deductions, and statutory payments.
  • Validate payroll data and perform payroll reconciliation checks before payroll release.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support post-payroll activities.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary payroll contact for assigned clients and respond to payroll-related queries professionally and promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll delivery.
  • Support payroll issue resolution and escalation management.
Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with local labor regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related statutory reports and documentation where required.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Support payroll audits and internal control processes.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Participate in payroll system enhancements, testing, and process documentation.
Role Requirements: 
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Min 3 years of payroll processing experience is required.
  • Must have experience working in a payroll outsourcing agency / payroll BPO / payroll shared services environment.
  • Experience managing payroll for multiple clients and/or handling high-volume payroll processing is preferred.
  • Good understanding of payroll calculations and payroll administration processes.
  • Familiarity with statutory requirements and payroll compliance.
  • Experience using payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic data validation).
