Position: Accounts Manager
Location: Semenyih

Malaysia (Head Office / Project-based support across branches)

Role Overview

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cash flow management. This role will work closely with the CFO, project teams, and SCM to support business performance, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure timely closing of accounts and financial statements
• Monitor project cost vs budget and highlight variances

2. Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Manage company cash flow, forecasting, and liquidity planning
• Track receivables and ensure timely collections from clients
• Monitor payables and optimize payment cycles
• Support funding strategies and banking relationships

3. Project & Cost Control Support

• Work closely with Project Managers and Cost Control teams
• Monitor project profitability and cost allocations
• Ensure proper documentation for project billing and claims
• Assist in financial evaluation of tenders and proposals

4. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and statutory filings
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
• Support internal control improvements and governance processes

5. Banking & Financial Coordination

• Handle banking matters including facilities, guarantees, and documentation
• Assist in preparation of financial documents for financing and BG applications
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions

6. Team Management

• Supervise and guide Accounts Executives and Finance staff
• Ensure proper task delegation and performance tracking
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Professional Qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA preferred)
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience (preferably in construction, engineering, or project-based industries)
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance
• Experience handling project accounts and cost control is an added advantage
• Familiar with accounting systems (e.g., SQL Accounting, SAP, or similar)
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

• Experience working across multiple branches or international operations

Reporting Line

• Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
• Works closely with: Project Managers, SCM, Cost Control, HR

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
