Job Description

The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team, boosting sales, monitoring performance, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring good customer experience to achieve business targets.

It is ideal for candidates who want to build a career in retail leadership, manage end-to-end store operations, and contribute to driving sales growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated business activities.
  • Manage inventory control, including stock levels, replenishment, receiving, and regular stock counts (weekly or bi-weekly).
  • Handle daily sales reconciliation, cash management, and operational revenue reporting accurately.
  • Monitor store performance and ensure alignment with sales targets and business objectives.
  • Supervise staff scheduling, attendance, punctuality, and overall team performance.
  • Support training, onboarding, and basic performance monitoring of store and live-stream team members.
  • Assist in customer service activities, including handling inquiries, complaints, and in-store product demonstrations.
  • Support basic social media updates and content posting on platforms such as Facebook and Xiaohongshu (RED).
  • Assist with live-streaming operations, including preparation, coordination, and on-ground support during sessions.
  • Prepare and serve simple beverages when required to support daily store operations.
  • Maintain proper operational records, documentation, and administrative tasks.
  • Support management with ad-hoc operational duties and business development initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent (higher qualification is an advantage)
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in retail, store operations, or supervisory role
  • Minimum 2-3 years as a branch lead
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin (spoken and written)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good understanding of sales, inventory, and basic financial handling
  • Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, disciplined, and results-oriented
  • Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays if required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in retail or e-commerce business environment
  • Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Xiaohongshu/RED, TikTok)
  • Basic experience in live-stream operations or sales is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to train and motivate team members
  • Basic knowledge of reporting tools (Excel / Google Sheets)
