Roles:
Data Controller (Engineering Projects)

Summary:
Responsible for managing project engineering data control activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring accurate data flow between contractors, vendors, and internal teams. The role supports capital projects by maintaining data integrity, enabling system integration, and ensuring smooth handover to operations.

Key Tasks:

• Manage data control function including people, processes, and tools to ensure smooth data flow within project and asset teams.
• Develop and implement data control work instructions covering data validation, integration, and handover to operations.
• Collect, validate, cleanse, and integrate engineering data from contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders into central repositories.
• Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities across systems such as CMMS, spare parts tools, asset registers, and related platforms.
• Prepare and support data handover to commissioning teams and operations during project close-out or phase transition.
• Define and maintain data specifications and ensure compliance with project data management standards and policies.
• Maintain project reference data libraries across engineering data applications.
• Assist in generating data performance reports and ensuring data quality governance.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Information Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Controller in engineering or capital projects environment.
• Familiar with engineering data control processes, EPC workflows, and major capital project systems.
• Understanding of cross-discipline engineering data including asset data models, spare parts processes, and CMMS setup.
• Strong data handling skills including validation, cleansing, integration, and system data loading.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
