We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Resident Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact within the bank, ensuring the stability, performance, and operational continuity of our critical banking applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational & Application Support: Provide comprehensive day-to-day support for core banking systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of all production applications.
• Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex system issues. You will be responsible for end-to-end incident management to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between internal application teams and external technology vendors. You will coordinate efforts to address technical bottlenecks, manage escalation paths, and drive the implementation of permanent solutions.
• System Stability: Proactively monitor system health, perform regular maintenance tasks, and contribute to process improvements to reduce the recurrence of technical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in troubleshooting enterprise-level applications, middleware, and database environments (e.g., SQL, Linux/Unix, APIs, Cloud platforms).
• Understanding of banking operational workflows, high-availability requirements, and transaction processing systems is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues under pressure and implement effective, scalable solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues to both technical stakeholders and non-technical business users.
• Experience of Resident Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a ICT field (Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline). Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
