About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of GIS and technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to manage project execution, mitigate risks, and drive successful outcomes while building strong customer relationships.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Strategic Planning & Scope Management

• Define clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Align GIS/Esri technology with customer business goals.
• Ensure scope changes are controlled and documented.

2. Execution & Team Leadership

• Lead project teams through requirements, design, build, test, and deployment.
• Balance workloads, manage subcontractors, and maintain morale.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and knowledge-sharing.

3. Risk & Change Management

• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead change management initiatives to support adoption of new systems/processes.
• Maintain proactive monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Stakeholder & Customer Communication

• Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers.
• Provide timely updates to management and stakeholders.
• Resolve conflicts constructively to maintain momentum.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track deliverables, milestones, and expenditures.
• Provide dashboards and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Document lessons learned to improve future projects.

About You - Applicants must be local Malaysian to be considered for this role.

Customer-focused and results-driven, you have strong experience in project management, successfully delivering complex projects from planning through execution. You are confident managing multiple stakeholders, skilled at leading cross-functional teams, and passionate about ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are motivated by driving successful outcomes and long-term customer value. We would love to hear from you!

What we’re looking for:

• Between 10 to 15 years working experience; At least 10 years project management experience.
• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering / GIS or a related discipline.
• Possession of PMP Certification will be an advantage
• Experience in Geographic Information Systems or Spatial Sciences is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Workday, Power BI and Microsoft Project will be an advantage.
• Experience in waterfall and agile software lifecycle development processes, standards and best practices
• Analytical and possess good problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
• Good personal time management.
• Able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Possess good learning attitude and keen to take on technical challenges
