Merchandiser – Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser to support our retail channels, promotional events, product displays, stock management, and sales performance. The role focuses on ensuring strong in-store execution, attractive product presentation, healthy inventory turnover, and effective communication with retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain atrium promotions, events, roadshows, and retail site displays, including visual merchandising, posters, POS materials, and marketing collaterals.
Conduct regular stock checks and monthly stocktake at retail counters and warehouse to ensure accurate stock levels and healthy stock movement.
Monitor inventory, FIFO arrangement, replenishment needs, pricing accuracy, and product availability at retail counters.
Maintain strong working relationships with floor staff, promoters, retail partners, and internal teams.
Review product range and display performance, and propose improvements or product replacement when required.
Support promotional planning by suggesting promotion mechanics, bundle deals, display ideas, and trade activities.
Provide basic product training and launch updates to floor staff for new products or campaigns.
Gather market information, including competitor activities, product trends, pricing, promotions, and store ranking feedback.
Assist in preparing retail orders, stock allocation, and sales-related administrative tasks.
Support ad-hoc retail activities, marketing campaigns, events, and operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience in merchandising
Good communication and relationship-building skills.
Able to work independently and travel to different retail outlets when required.
Basic knowledge of stock control, sales reports, and retail operations is preferred.
Basic computer skills.
