Mechanical Design Engineer – Noise Control & Industrial Applications

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and equipment, with a strong focus on product silencers and noise control solutions for commercial and industrial applications. This role bridges engineering design and manufacturing execution, ensuring compliance with global standards while supporting project delivery, customer engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality, practical, and effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Analysis & Technical Evaluation

• Analyze project requirements, technical specifications, and client inquiries in detail.
• Evaluate technical data and prepare clear, concise engineering reports to support design and commercial decisions.
• Conduct site visits when required to validate technical requirements and operating conditions.

2. Design & Engineering Development

• Design and develop mechanical equipment and systems for marine, power plant, oil & gas, mining, and infrastructure applications.
• Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform design validations and simulations (e.g. flow analysis) to optimize performance and reliability.

3. Cross-Functional & Factory Coordination

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design, fabrication, and production challenges.
• Travel to the VTR factory to communicate technical specifications, drawings, and design intent clearly to operations and production teams.
• Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with production capabilities.

4. Customer & Commercial Support

• Provide technical support to the sales team by proposing feasible and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings, discussions, and presentations to address technical queries and requirements as needed.

5. Project Execution & Resource Management

• Attend site meetings and provide technical input throughout project execution stages.
• Monitor engineering progress to ensure smooth implementation and on‑time delivery.
• Manage time, priorities, and multiple tasks effectively to support project efficiency.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical design or engineering role.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in SolidWorks (3D modelling and simulation).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
