What You'll Do
Full Set of Accounts & Daily Operations
- Handle the full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank reconciliations
- Record daily transactions, process journal entries, issue invoices, and maintain accurate accounting records
- Process purchase orders and ensure proper documentation across all financial transactions
Month-End & Year-End Closing
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of monthly and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, management accounts, and supporting schedules
AR & AP Management
- Monitor accounts receivable, manage debtor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding collections
- Verify supplier invoices, process accounts payable, and ensure timely vendor payments
Compliance & Statutory Reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations
- Assist in the preparation of tax computations and statutory reporting requirements
- Liaise with external parties including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to aid management decision-making
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes
- Support ERP implementation, migration, or system enhancement initiatives where required
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams — Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations — to ensure smooth and aligned financial processes
Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with full set of accounts exposure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting systems or ERP software is an advantage
- Knowledge of project accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance is preferred
- Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
