Data Analyst | Malaysia
We’re partnering with a growing organisation within the Financial Services sector to hire a Data Analyst who is passionate about transforming data into insights that drive smarter business decisions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with cross-functional teams, uncovering trends, improving performance, and helping shape business strategy in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
What you’ll be doing:
• Collect, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources to uncover actionable insights
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance tracking tools
• Identify business trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation
• Partner with commercial, operations, and leadership teams to answer key business questions through data
• Monitor KPIs and support ongoing business performance analysis
• Present findings in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support process improvement initiatives through reporting and analytics
• Maintain strong data accuracy, consistency, and reporting integrity
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, IT, or a related field
2–5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a similar role
Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
Hands-on experience with SQL and reporting/dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to translate data into practical business recommendations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in a commercial or fast-moving environment is preferred
Nice to have:
Experience with Python or R for analysis and automation
Exposure to CRM, sales, marketing, or operational datasets
Knowledge of data visualisation best practices
Experience supporting KPI tracking and business performance reporting
