Job Purpose:
This position will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. This role involves assisting with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) activities, to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial records.
Job Duties:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, maintaining accounts payable records, and ageing reports.
- Generate invoices, debit notes and credit notes, monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding collections for accounts receivable.
- Assist with general ledger activities, including depreciation, accruals, prepayment, and provisions.
- Perform monthly bank, debtor, creditor, and fixed asset reconciliations, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and other supporting schedules as required.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accounting documents are properly filed and updated.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in all accounting processes.
- Any other ad hoc task as assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance functions.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions and record keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with the fintech or financial services industry would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing to work in Bandar Sunway.
