Inter Island Group Hiring! Full Time Full Stack Engineer in Selangor - Ricebowl

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Developer in their Malaysia Tech Hub, you will be a key player in developing and enhancing innovative digital solutions that power their business. You will work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, owning the full lifecycle of features from conception to deployment. We are looking for a passionate and experienced developer who can bridge the gap between front-end and back-end technologies, working on a diverse and modern tech stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and optionally Go. You will be responsible for both back-end services and front-end interfaces built with Vue Js and Angular
• Front-End Engineering: Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces with a focus on user experience and performance. Responsibilities include developing features from scratch, writing effective unit tests, and performing precise code reviews
• Cloud & Containerization: Actively work on deploying and managing applications in containerized environments. You will leverage Docker and Kubernetes for orchestration, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with DevOps, product managers, and other engineering teams. You will be expected to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and help maintain best practices in coding, testing, and deployment within the team
• System Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Take a pragmatic approach to engineering by removing technical roadblocks and suggesting architectural improvements

Required Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the following technologies:

Back-End

• Expert proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Go (Golang) is a significant plus

Front-End

• Strong experience with Vue Js
• Solid experience with Angular (7+)

DevOps & Cloud

• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

General

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD concepts
• Experience with Git for version control
• Proficient in writing automated tests (unit, integration) to ensure high code quality

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in full-stack development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. A self-motivated individual with a passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends
