Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Interior Design (fresh graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/V-Ray, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong design sense and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in residential and commercial interior fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of construction details and renovation processes.
  • Ability to prepare carpentry and technical drawings.
  • Experience working in a Design & Build environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

You will be expected to manage multiple projects, handle demanding clients, solve site issues, coordinate with contractors, and consistently deliver quality work under pressure. There will be tight timelines, unexpected problems, and days when you need to go the extra mile to get the job done.

Design & Planning

  • Meet clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle, budget, and project goals.
  • Develop design concepts, mood boards, and space planning proposals.
  • Prepare layout plans, 3D visualizations, and presentation materials.
  • Produce detailed drawings including floor plans, elevations, and carpentry drawings.

Client Management

  • Present design proposals and material selections to clients.
  • Revise designs based on client feedback.
  • Maintain professional communication throughout the project.

Material & Supplier Coordination

  • Source materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on specifications and quotations.
  • Ensure selected materials meet design intent and budget requirements.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Contractors.
  • Attend site meetings and site inspections.
  • Ensure design details are executed accurately on-site.
  • Assist in resolving site issues and design-related challenges.

Documentation

  • Prepare design presentations and project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files and records.
  • Ensure drawings are updated and issued according to project progress.
