About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded HR Manager to lead HR operations, people development, performance management, compensation, and compliance.

This role is suitable for someone who understands that HR is not just about administration, payroll, or policies. As a new business to Malaysia our HR function must support the business to grow by building the right structure, developing the right people, and ensuring every people related decision is practical, fair, and sustainable.

The HR Manager will work closely with the C-Suite team to strengthen HR systems, improve workforce productivity, support staff growth, and build a high performing work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve compensation, benefits, allowances, increments, and incentive structures.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and prepare cost impact proposals for management review.
  • Monitor manpower cost, headcount planning, and workforce productivity.
  • Strengthen performance management, KPI tracking, appraisal, and staff development processes.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend practical solutions for capability, attitude, workload, or system issues.
  • Review training effectiveness based on performance improvement and behaviour change.
  • Improve HR systems, processes, documentation, and compliance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with the necessary safeguards and laws as required by the business.
  • Advise the Board on HR matters, workforce planning, compensation, and organisational structure.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR, People Operations or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of compensation, performance management, HR operations, and workforce planning.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to analyse manpower cost, budget impact, and business performance.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian employment regulations.
  • Strong communication, coaching, problem solving, and follow through skills.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Comfortable presenting proposals and recommendations to senior management or the Board.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant work experience are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates should be Malaysian Citizens.
