The Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager plays a key role in enhancing the overall student experience for international students at SIT. The incumbent will support the integration, well-being, and success of international students through tailored programmes, holistic support services, and engagement initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and cross-cultural understanding within the SIT community.

Key Responsibilities

International Student Support & Integration

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for international students, providing guidance on campus integration resources such as accommodation, visa applications, student insurance, setting up bank accounts, adaptation to Singapore, and campus life.
  • Act as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders seeking information or collaboration related to international student integration.
  • Design, develop and deliver programmes that promote intercultural exchange and facilitate social integration between local and international students.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including student organisations, residential services, and academic departments, to co-create inclusive and impactful integration initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to students in planning and executing integration activities.

Student Well-being & Advisory

  • Monitor the overall well-being of international students and proactively reach out to those who may require additional support.
  • Refer students to appropriate internal services such as counselling, health services, or academic advising as needed.

Compliance and Administration

  • Contribute to the development of resources such as handbooks, guides, and communication materials tailored to international students.
  • Compile data, prepare reports, and conduct surveys for submission to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and internal stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, Communications, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in student support, or diversity and inclusion work.
  • Prior experience working in a higher education environment, particularly with international or culturally diverse student populations, is highly preferred.
  • Passionate about fostering student belonging, well-being, and development.
  • Empathetic, positive attitude with the ability to think "out of the box".
  • Agile, able to multitask and work independently within a tight timeline.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adaptable to changes.
  • Willingness to learn continually through training, guidance, and self-reflection.
  • Committed team player, responsible, reliable, and able to work with others to achieve division goals.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of office hours and on weekends on an ad-hoc basis.
