About the role
We are seeking a dedicated RTR Analyst to join the accounting team at OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting sector, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, you will be responsible for reconciling accounts and preparing financial records that are fundamental to the smooth operation of our business.
Key responsibilities
Performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Identifying and resolving discrepancies between recorded transactions and supporting documentation
Preparing detailed reconciliation reports and documentation for review
Maintaining comprehensive audit trails and supporting schedules for all reconciliation activities
Assisting in the month-end and year-end close processes
Supporting the preparation of financial statements and related schedules
Liaising with internal teams and external parties to obtain necessary documentation and clarifications
Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Contributing to process improvements and efficiency enhancements in accounting operations
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an RTR Analyst or in a similar reconciliation and accounting role within bookkeeping or small practice accounting environments
Strong proficiency in account reconciliation methodologies and practices
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Competence in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple reconciliations simultaneously
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Relevant accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or equivalent, or equivalent practical experience
Familiarity with month-end and year-end close procedures is highly desirable
