Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be based in the Project Department of our construction arm, which serves as the main contractor. If you are passionate about construction and ready to take your career to the next level, we would love to have you on our team!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:

  • Prepare and be responsible for the Master Work Programme and critical path.

  • Perform checks to ensure the quality of work and safety compliance at site are in accordance with the company’s requirements.

  • Liaise with clients, superintending officers, consultants, authorities, and government agencies on matters relating to various projects.

  • Conduct or attend meetings with staff, clients, consultants, and sub-contractors.

  • Monitor and control the progress of projects to ensure completion and delivery are within the approved budget and schedule.

  • Review and ensure that documents and records conform to the Project Implementation Procedures.

  • Prepare Project Quality and Safety Plans.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of sub-contractors, progress of works, and project cash flow.

  • Verify or approve requisitions and purchase orders for materials required for the projects.

  • Verify and approve sub-contractors' claims for work done.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and authority requirements from time to time.

  • Ensure all technical specifications and requirements are fulfilled.

  • Ensure all RFMA / RFIC on site are up to date.

  • Manage and oversee the project team to ensure overall targets set by management are achieved.

  • Ensure all projects meet the minimum QLASSIC standards set by management.

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.

  • At least 10 years of working experience in the construction of high-rise or landed properties.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.

  • Independent and capable of leading a project team from implementation to project completion.

  • Strong ability to ensure quality workmanship.

  • Knowledge in financial control and meeting project targets.

  • Able to accept contract employment (yearly renewable basis) and convertible to permanent employment depending on performance.
