United Vehicles Industries Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Engineering Department in jig, fixture, and tooling design for manufacturing operations.

This role focuses on mechanical design, drafting, and engineering development to support production efficiency, tooling improvement, and new model implementation.

• Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, and simple mechanical components based on production and engineering requirements

• Develop 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks)

• Prepare design concepts (CG, jig, tooling, and component layouts) for approval and implementation

• Support engineering improvement projects through design optimization and modification

• Conduct basic simulation or feasibility studies for tooling and fixture design

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure design meets manufacturing requirements

• Assist in development of process flow, SOPs, and technical documentation for new and existing models

• Support tooling modification, improvement design, and troubleshooting from an engineering perspective

• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and customer or internal engineering meetings

• Ensure all designs comply with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards

• Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all engineering drawings

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Strong interest or experience in mechanical design, jig & fixture design, or tooling engineering

• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred)

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with good design thinking ability

• Able to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
