Job Requirement:
  • Degree in any discipline with at least 3 years of managerial experience in manufacturing environment or

  • Diploma in any discipline with at least 5 years of managerial experience in manufacturing environment, preferable in the related field 

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

  • Experience managing importation, exportation, customs clearance, warehouse operations, and distribution activities.

  • Experience with export-oriented operations is an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with HACCP, BRCGS, FDA, SCAN, SEDEX and food safety compliance requirements.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics operations.

  • Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export procedures.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Description:

Supply Chain Operations Management:

  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end supply chain operations from importation and inbound logistics to final customer delivery.

  • Ensure smooth execution of daily inbound and outbound logistics activities.

  • Monitor supply chain inventory accuracy, stock availability, logistics costs, and warehouse productivity.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service levels.

  • Support business growth through effective supply chain planning and resource utilization.

Importation, Exportation, Customs & Regulatory Coordination:

  • Coordinate import & export shipments, freight bookings, customs clearance, and shipment documentation.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and government authorities.

  • Communicate with Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Ministry of Health (MOH), and other regulatory agencies regarding import & export permits, inspections, product clearance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor shipment schedules, vessel arrivals, freight costs, and customs clearance status.

  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, customs issues, detention charges, and delivery delays.

  • Ensure compliance with food import regulations and documentation requirements.

Warehouse & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee warehouse operations consisting of approximately 12 warehouse personnel.

  • Ensure accurate inventory control, stock movement monitoring, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and warehouse housekeeping standards.

  • Manage stock receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.

  • Coordinate external storage arrangements with third-party logistics (3PL) providers when required.

  • Lead stock count exercises, inventory reconciliation, variance investigations, and corrective actions.

  • Monitor stock aging, slow-moving inventory, near-expiry stock, and stock disposal activities.

  • Ensure proper segregation and handling of food products according to food safety requirements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing, picking, packing, shipment preparation, and dispatch.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve fulfilment issues.

  • Support stock allocation and fulfilment planning during peak seasons and customer demand fluctuations.

Transportation & Logistics Management:

  • Monitor transportation operations to ensure timely delivery according to customer requirements.

  • Manage transporter performance, delivery schedules, freight costs and service levels.

  • Review logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Investigate delivery failures, POD discrepancies, customer complaints and transportation issues.

  • Optimize route planning, vehicle utilization and delivery efficiency.

Food Safety, Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.

  • Support and maintain compliance with: HACCP, BRCGS, FDA Requirements, SCAN (Supply Chain Security Audit Network), Sedex / SMETA

  • Customer-specific requirements

  • Ensure traceability, stock control, product recall readiness, and inventory integrity are maintained at all times.

  • Support internal audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and certification audits.

  • Ensure warehouse and logistics operations meet food safety, hygiene, pest control, and storage requirements.

  • Participate in food safety investigations, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and supervise Supply Chain and Warehouse personnel.

  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management for team members.

  • Develop succession planning and team capability improvement programs.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, food safety awareness, and operational excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and workplace discipline.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Prepare and present reports on inventory, logistics performance, fulfilment status, freight costs.

  • Analyze operational data and recommend improvement initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Support strategic planning initiatives led by Management Team.
