About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Executive to join our dynamic team at AIK CHEONG COFFEE ROASTER SDN BHD in Cheng, Melaka. As a key member of our Import/Export & Customs department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of our international shipments and deliveries.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate and manage all import and export shipments, including liaising with logistics providers, customs authorities, and other stakeholders

2. Prepare and submit accurate documentation, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and other shipping paperwork

3. Track shipments and monitor delivery timelines, proactively addressing any issues or delays

4. Maintain detailed records and generate reports on shipping activities and performance

5. Assist in the development and implementation of efficient shipping processes and procedures

6. Collaborate with the sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably in the manufacturing or import/export industry

2. Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements

3. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to priorities tasks and meet deadlines

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret data

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders

6. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
