We are partnering with a well-established financial institution to appoint a Central Operations Head who will provide strategic leadership and end-to-end oversight across critical operational, technology, and project management functions.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening risk and compliance frameworks, and enabling scalable growth through process optimization and digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee central operations covering areas such as wealth operations, treasury operations, trade finance, and loan operations
- Manage cross-functional teams across operations, technology, and project management
2. Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Establish and monitor operational risk controls to mitigate financial, fraud, and reputational risks
- Oversee business continuity planning (BCP) and testing
3. Process Improvement & Transformation
- Drive process re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and cost management
- Lead change management efforts, including automation and system enhancements
4. Performance & Service Delivery
- Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent service excellence
- Conduct regular service reviews with vendors and partners
5. Project Management
- Oversee a portfolio of strategic projects, including process improvements, product initiatives, and digital transformation
- Ensure timely and successful delivery through strong governance
6. Technology Oversight
- Provide leadership across IT functions including application support, development, and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and cybersecurity standards
7. Documentation & Capability Building
- Oversee development of operational documentation and training materials
- Promote continuous learning and cross-functional capability building
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
- 12–15 years of experience in banking or financial services operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing large operational teams and complex projects
