Responsibilities
The Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications through structured testing processes and automation solutions. This role helps prevent defects, improve system performance, and ensure that software meets business and user requirements.
The position involves designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications. The QA professional ensures that applications function correctly across different environments, devices, and use scenarios.
A key responsibility includes identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug tracking systems. This involves providing clear issue reports with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
The role performs various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). It ensures that new updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
In addition, the Automation Engineer aspect of the role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. This includes working with automation frameworks and tools to reduce manual testing effort and increase reliability.
The role also contributes to test strategy development, quality assurance standards, and continuous improvement of testing processes. It helps ensure consistent software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer works closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver stable, high-quality software products.
