Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Tuas. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), take off quantities from drawings, and support tender preparation and evaluation. The role includes cost planning, cost control, and monitoring project budgets from pre-contract through post-contract stages. The Quantity Surveyor will track and update cost reports, support progress claims, variations, and final accounts, and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure commercial alignment. The role also involves preparing documentation, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control and Cost Management for construction or steel-related projects.
  • Experience in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing BOQ (Bills of Quantities) and quantity take-offs from drawings.
  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or construction management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tuas and manage timelines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Prior experience in steel works, fabrication, or industrial projects is an advantage.
