Role Overview

We are looking for Software Developers to join our team of experienced developers building software applications for the consumer transactions industry. Our solutions span across payments, digital commerce, stored-value applications, and CRM marketing platforms used by millions of users globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using industry best practices
• Participate in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
• Develop and integrate backend services with databases and external systems
• Lead and mentor software engineers, providing guidance throughout the software development lifecycle
• Manage delivery timelines and ensure high-quality outcomes across releases
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software defects and production issues
• Contribute to code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality and performance
• Support and enhance applications used at scale in production environments
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Experienced in software development (on-prem and/or cloud), with proven people and/or vendor management experience appreciated.
• Hands-on experience developing software using Java (J2EE)
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS
• Good working knowledge of SQL, HTML, XML, Web Services, JSP, Servlets, Spring Boot, Hibernate
• Understanding of SDLC, and software design concepts
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and programming languages
• Able to perform under tight project timelines
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Added Advantages

• Experience with data analytics or similar visualisation tools
• Exposure to cloud development and deployment, particularly using Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Java programmer/developer certification
• Mobile application development experience (Android and/or iOS)
