Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Manager role based in Rawang. The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-end purchasing process for materials, components, and services required for wire harness production. Daily responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support production schedules. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchasing data, and collaborating with production, engineering, and finance teams to optimize costs and maintain quality standards. The Procurement Manager will also manage supplier relationships, resolve delivery or quality issues, and implement procurement policies and best practices to support operational and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong procurement expertise, including hands-on experience in Procurement and Contract Management in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Proven ability in Supplier Evaluation and performance monitoring to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated skills in Contract Negotiation, including pricing, terms, and service levels with local and international suppliers.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret purchasing data, assess total cost of ownership, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems and proficiency in standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rawang, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional procurement certifications are an advantage.
