Structured Cabling Project Manager – Data Centre Fibre Works

We are looking for an experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager to support a fast-moving data centre fibre cabling project in Nusajaya / Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

The candidate must be highly organised, process-oriented, and able to manage site execution, manpower, safety coordination, documentation, and daily reporting. Experience in structured cabling, fibre optic works, telecom, M&E, or data centre environments will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily structured cabling / fibre installation works.
• Review cabling drawings, cable routes, containment, trunking, riser, MMR/SER/MER, and data hall workfronts.
• Coordinate site supervisors, technicians, safety personnel, documentation team, and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily manpower planning, work sequencing, shift planning, and next-day work targets.
• Provide constant daily updates on progress, issues, blockers, safety matters, and required actions.
• Ensure proper fibre cable pulling, routing, labelling, protection, containment coordination, and inspection readiness.
• Conduct regular site walks to check progress, quality, housekeeping, and safety compliance.
• Ensure works are carried out according to PTW, RAMS/MSRA, toolbox briefing, PPE, barricading, and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate with client/main contractor representatives and attend site coordination meetings when required.
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, attendance records, inspection records, and handover documentation.
• Escalate site risks early and propose practical solutions to avoid delay.

Requirements

• Preferably 10 to 15 years of experience in structured cabling, fibre optic, telecom, M&E, or data centre project works.
• Data centre structured fibre cabling experience is highly preferred.
• Able to read and understand cabling drawings and installation plans.
• Strong experience in managing site teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Must be process-oriented and disciplined in daily reporting.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-track project environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Immediate availability preferred.
• Must be willing to work in Nusajaya / Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
• Must be available for 12-hour shifts, including weekend work when required.

Preferred Experience

• Data centre fibre backbone / bulk fibre cabling
• Structured cabling installation works
• Fibre cable pulling, routing, labelling, and testing coordination
• Data hall, MMR, SER, MER, riser, and containment coordination
• PTW, RAMS/MSRA, toolbox talk, and HSE coordination
• Daily progress reporting and documentation control

Working Conditions

• Site-based role
• 12-hour shift arrangement
• Day / night shift may be required
• Weekend availability required
• Immediate mobilisation preferred
