About the role
CSI Tech is a Singapore-based Managed IT and cybersecurity provider serving SMBs across the maritime, manufacturing and professional services sectors, primarily on Microsoft 365. We're a small, hands-on team, and this is our first dedicated support hire. You'll own the day-to-day support and maintenance that keeps our clients running, both remotely and on-site, and you'll work directly with the founder to learn the full managed-services stack. This is a support and maintenance role, not pre-sales or project delivery, so you can go deep on doing the fundamentals well.
We care a great deal about documentation. A big part of this role is creating and maintaining clear, accurate IT documentation for every client, so strong written English and a tidy, methodical mind matter as much as technical skill.
What you'll do
- Handle first and second line support across multiple SMB clients, both remotely and on-site, via our ticketing system: log, triage, resolve and escalate, keeping clients updated throughout.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows 11 endpoints, including setup, imaging and deployment.
- Administer Microsoft 365 environments: user provisioning and offboarding, mailboxes and licensing, Entra ID, MFA, and the basics of SharePoint and Teams.
- Provide basic network support: routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
- Monitor patching and RMM alerts, and follow through to resolution.
- Respond to endpoint security alerts under guidance.
- Create and maintain high-quality IT documentation: runbooks, network diagrams, asset registers and SOPs, kept current in our documentation platform.
- Travel to client sites across Singapore as needed for hands-on support.
What you'll need from day one
- A diploma in IT, Infocomm or a related field, or up to two years of relevant experience.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows 11.
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration (admin centre, Entra ID, Exchange Online basics).
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and basic firewall concepts.
- Clear, accurate written English for documentation and client updates.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and a genuine appetite to learn.
- Comfortable travelling to client sites in Singapore.
Nice to have (we'll train the rest)
- Exposure to PSA/RMM, MDR, DNS filtering or endpoint security tools.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, AZ-900 or MD-102.
- Any professional service or maritime or manufacturing IT exposure.
What we offer
- Direct mentorship from the founder and broad exposure across the whole managed-services stack, rather than being boxed into one narrow task.
- A permanent role with a 3-month probation and a clear path toward L2 / engineer as you grow.
- Real ownership and the chance to shape how a growing MSP runs.
