Job Description

Responsibilities

To provide exceptional customer service to both internal & external customers and to achieve department’s objectives for timely freight processing, and associated admin tasks within the set KPI.

  • Communicate with our customers in executing export bookings.
  • Prepare export documentations.
  • Command in internal export management systems
  • Understand and follow internal standards and process to execute bookings.
  • Prepare and document customer’s requirements in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) database.
  • Good understanding of internal quality standards and compliance policies.
  • Apply in day-to-day execution of bookings.
  • Billings to clients accurately and timely.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers (Shipping lines, trucking companies and Container Freight Station (CFS) Provider and others involved).
  • Declaring Permits after passing Custom Competency test.
  • Timely responses to emails within 24 hours and phone communication within the same day.
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
  • Take up additional tasks as required to meet the Department’s needs
  • Meeting 52 hours Training hours / year.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements

  • Minimum tertiary educational level
  • 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of ocean documentation process or experiences in the industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word) and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English.
