IT Operations Manager
Our client is a company dedicated to delivering innovative IT solutions and services, fostering a collaborative and professional culture that values expertise and proactive problem-solving. The organisation is seeking a skilled IT Operations Manager to oversee critical infrastructure and IT service delivery. This role is vital for maintaining operational stability, supporting ongoing projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Role Overview:
The IT Operations Manager will be a key member of the IT team, responsible for managing the organisation's IT infrastructure and services, including end-user computing. The role involves overseeing outsourcing partners, supporting daily operations, and participating in infrastructure projects and disaster recovery planning to ensure the organisation’s technology environment runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with IT Infrastructure and IT Operations (minimum 5 years)
- Hands-on knowledge of core technologies such as Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Cloud, Active Directory, Virtualization, Networking, Backup/Recovery, and security tools
- Experience working within Financial Services, including familiarity with regulatory frameworks like MAS TRM, is advantageous
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Azure, Networking, Security) are a plus
- Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM and exposure to project management
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, end users, and external vendors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT infrastructure and services, including end-user computing, ensuring high availability and performance
- Govern and oversee outsourcing partners and managed service providers, including contract and billing management
- Lead infrastructure projects such as technology refreshes, system upgrades, migrations, and the development of new IT capabilities
- Support daily IT operations, including incident management, service requests, change management, and application support
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning, strategy, and execution in collaboration with relevant teams
- Assist with IT audit activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Develop and maintain IT operational procedures and documentation
- Monitor system performance, perform patching, capacity planning, and recommend improvements
- Ensure data handling and transfer adhere to organisational guidelines and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations
- On-site availability in the designated location
- Right to work in the specified region
- Strong understanding of relevant technologies and regulatory frameworks
Nice to Have (Optional):
- Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft, Azure, Networking, Security)
- Experience managing projects and external vendors
This is a temporary contract role for approximately two weeks, starting on 18/06/2026, requiring on-site presence.
