POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the continuous and efficient production of quantity and quality to support company goals as well as the development of associates and their on-going performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the safety, quality, productivity with compliance on the area of responsibility.
• Manages the production team including operator, machinist and supervisor/leader, this includes and not limited to performance management, development and competency improvement as well as resource management.
• Drives continuous improvement like OEE/productivity and cost reduction.
• Ensures company production objectives for manufacturing cells at the lowest cost and consistent with quality compliance.
• Manages the manufacturing cells with respect to production volume cost, and quality of production, meeting production schedules, delivery dates and employee training.
• Responsible for meeting the objectives of manufacturing cells performance.
• Develops and enhances current and future manufacturing cells projects.
• Maintains compliance with company policies with regards to all safety and environmental issues.
• Assists Operations Manager to oversee daily operations activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree with 5 years and above working experience or at least a Diploma with more than 10 years working experience in relevant field.
• Experience in CNC machining and medical device industry is preferred.
• People management, leadership, strong communication skills are required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in machining and manufacturing with minimum five (5) years of management experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operations and use is a must (e.g. Milling, Turn-Mill, Autolathe or Wire-Cut).
• LEAN manufacturing knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Ability to train, guide and coach subordinates.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines/budgets.
• Ability to develop staff results in increased competencies and motivation of employees.
• Ability to apply project management techniques in the development and on-going performance of assigned production cells.
