Purpose of the Role
The Inventory Warehouse Assistant (Distribution Centre) supports the Inventory Manager, Line Leaders, and Team Leaders in executing day‑to‑day operational activities and ad hoc projects. This role ensures all inventory processes are carried out in accordance with SOPs, while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within warehouse operations.
What You’ll Do
- Build strong working relationships with Operational teams, Section Heads, and Client Services to manage inventory and resolve issues.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and ensure effective stock placement.
- Monitor and manage short‑expiry and expired items, ensuring proper segregation in designated lock/cage areas.
- Ensure scrap items are properly documented and sent for destruction.
- Perform system updates and material maintenance as required.
- Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with Line Leaders, Team Leaders, and Managers to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Achieve and maintain agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure safety of people, inventory, equipment, and infrastructure at all times.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and 5S standards.
- Support ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
What You Need to HaveEducation
- Minimum High School / A‑Level qualification
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in warehousing or supply chain operations is preferred
